Avtandil by Avtandil Tskvitinidze is one of the most established labels in Georgia. This season, oversize shapes, metallics, and space-age motifs gave the collection a definite futuristic vibe. The bold, rounded shoulders on minidresses looked plucked out of old sci-fi TV shows and a blazer had boxy Blade Runner–style shoulders.
Though there were some standouts, such as the pale blue blouse with exaggerated ruffles and the mullet puffer skirt, they were overshadowed by the hefty use of embellishments and the seemingly out of place denim-on-denim look. Nonetheless, someone will be snapping up Tskvitinidze’s android-influenced eveningwear: The black dresses with brown belts strapped across the body made for flattering hourglass silhouettes.
