Iceberg’s creative director James Long believes in a full wardrobe. “There shouldn’t be any gap,” he said, pointing to his spring collection in which he blended sport references with tailoring and eveningwear, covering occasions from day to night.
A retro athletic and tennis-inspired vibe ran through daywear, in the V-neck knits and cropped polo shirts that played with color blocking, as well as in monochrome, pristine pleated skirts that were Wimbledon-ready. Essential ribbed-knit dresses with cutouts or side slit pointed more toward nighttime while maintaining a practical sense of ease and comfort.
While these looks offered approachable wardrobe separates, the boldest side of the Iceberg tribe surfaced via utilitarian pieces covered in a tropical pattern and punctuated by studs. The printed motif was splashed on a parka and matching skirt for a flashy attire, and it came with a counterpart for men, too.
Ditto for boxy denim jackets and baggy pants shared between closets, as well as a standout leather jacket with the image of the Sylvester cat cartoon on the sleeves, which injected a dash of playfulness in the range. These pieces best captured the spirit of the brand and will look great even far from athletic fields and tennis clubs.
