At 21, Anna K designer Anna Karenina (formerly Kolomoets) is a bit of a mini celebrity in Ukraine. Her designs are worn by the It-girl daughters of famous Ukrainian and Russian pop stars, and Kris Jenner has sported a piece by the young designer. Also, the label is commercially important: Anna K has been sold in several international stores, including Lane Crawford and Colette, and Karenina has her own shop in Kiev’s newly erected TSUM department store, which is where she held her show.
Pieces like trousers with asymmetrical ruffles, a black turtleneck with Kiss Me emblazoned on the front, and a light pink silk robe dress were fun and well suited for her young customer base. Karenina, who just made Forbes’s “30 Under 30 Europe” list, has big plans to expand in the future. Keep an eye out.
