Danish label Baum und Pferdgarten is the stuff of street style obsessives’ dreams. This season, designers Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave gave their logo-wearing front row crowd more than a few snapshot-worthy pieces to lust after, even if at times they seemed to borrow from the big-ticket designers like Gucci and Balenciaga.
Familiar shoulder cut-outs, Lurex cardigans, and trousers, as well as mod pleather skirts in black and burgundy, filled the runway. Some models were dressed up like fun, girly versions of ’80s-era punks, wearing low V-neck knits over plaid shirtdresses with crystal collar pins, leopard coats, and fanny packs, and grommet belts holding up dresses draped over fishnet tights. It might not have been groundbreaking, but as a Scandi It girl label, the collection was eye catching.
