Alice Temperley’s bride has always been playful, but Fall offered her new ways to indulge in full-on fantasy. Her signature bohemian, vintage-inspired aesthetic remained, but the vibe was less flower child, more Daisy Buchanan, with Jazz Age–inspired dresses made for serious partying. In Temperley’s world, your walk down the aisle is simply the precursor to hours of fun.
Among the 10 looks Temperley added to her bridal repertoire were Celeste, a gauzy, open-backed tulle dress with a constellation of sequins (nodding to fashion’s current obsession with all things astrological), and Orelia, an off-the-shoulder gown with pink crystal hearts. Cybele continued the decadent fun with lattices of hearts and flowers. The real surprise, though, was Temperley’s unexpected use of color. Blush and rosy tones appeared throughout, but she went bolder with the aptly named Mimi dress, a disco-worthy ruffled frock of iridescent sequins that flashed blue or green depending on the light. Made for moving in, it was a look ready for the chapel and the dance floor alike.
