Jenny Packham married her partner of 26 years in December, but she didn’t opt for one of the sparkling gowns she has built her business on. Instead, she wore a simple taupe lace sheath with sky-high platforms and a net veil. “I actually was never really interested in being a bride,” she explained. So it made sense that the best dresses in her Spring ’17 bridal lineup were a little unconventional; there was a green tea–color chiffon gown with balloon sleeves and a smattering of pink flowers inspired by the “plains of the Midwest.” It would be ideal for a summer garden wedding. Elsewhere, one champagne V-neck number looked as easy as a T-shirt. Silhouettes on the whole were slinky and unstructured, not a single ball skirt or corset in sight. In keeping with the rustic theme, Packham also nixed classic white in favor of beige and cream, which lent a softer glow to all the jewels and embellishment.
