Fond of traveling as she is, for fall JJ Martin provided her many LaDoubleJ amiche with a juicy wardrobe for winter escapes. They’ll be covered for any possible mountain situation, from day to night and everything in between; whether they’re be in Aspen or St. Moritz, they’ll brighten up even the glitziest resort with their cheerful, ‘vibration rising,’ hyper-printed ski and après-ski wardrobe.
Martin seems to have equipped LaDoubleJ with a built-in propeller, which is driving the label to unstoppable expansion. Proving the elastic nature of her brainchild, every season she adds new versions of her signature prints, new shapes and accessories. “Velvet Suiting! Felted wool coats! Cherry printed knit sets! Reversible nylon/brocade puffers!” fired out the upbeat Martin, surrounded by her posse of friends at the fall presentation in her store. The whirlwind of well-wishers were delighted by the folk-inspired baboushka prints, the tent-like ruffled dresses drenched in micro sequins, and the leggings and stirrup pants tucked into hand knitted mountain socks/boots. They’ll surely fly off the shelves, into the suitcases of the many LaDoubleJ travelers.
