Ports 1961 planned a city escape for Resort with a collection that mixed urban sportswear staples with safari-inspired pieces that had more of a quintessential cruise feeling. Designer Fiona Cibani put texture in the spotlight, whipping up T-shirts and pencil skirts (not to mention a matching oversize clutch and golf-tasseled mule heels) from ultra-lightweight python and water snake, and topping a bristly iridescent raffia bustier with a buttery soft, unlined suede trench. Meanwhile, snug biker jackets and moto pants took on a classically cool look when updated in a glossy lacquered tweed. While the zesty impressionist florals—most notably printed on white leather—and a citron-hued fur gilet each made an impact, it was the lineup's crisp white pieces that ultimately stood out. The bonded cotton parka shown with a chunky cropped sweater and starched shorts—in head-to-toe-white—would make for a fresh alternative for fashion types who rely on a mostly black wardrobe.
