Co's Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern are expecting their first baby in September. They're in nesting mode, and it showed in their first-ever Resort collection, which was long on cozy sweaters and the kind of pajama separates we've been seeing around lately. A waffle knit in navy and ivory looked especially comfy paired with relaxed silk georgette pants. On the more dressed-up side, there was a black frock with an Empire waist, offering plenty of room to accommodate a growing bump. Even dressier, a marabou skirt looked like a bit of fun—maybe for their first big post-baby date? Danan and Kern have loved furs from the beginning. This season, in addition to knitted mink and fox, they experimented with python-print pony hair. Spliced with black leather, it looked a bit derivative. The designers seem to be taking their cues from minimal labels like Céline and The Row. They're hardly alone in that, but what made the couple interesting at the start was their anti-trend approach. It's worth sticking with.
