Luxurious loungewear, intended to evoke David Bailey's early-seventies images of Anjelica Huston, formed the basis of Alice Temperley's pre-fall collection. Think billowy jewel-toned chiffon gowns, expertly draped silk harem pants, and gauzy hooded tunics. A stretchy black body-con dress with side cutouts looked tailor-made for today's It girls Alice Dellal and Georgia May Jagger, who happen to be the inspiration for the designer's about-to-launch lower-priced line, Alice. There wasn't much in the way of office attire here, but Temperley did show plenty of options for the jet-setters she counts as fans.
