Roberto Cavalli envisioned his Resort customer heading to three distinct holiday season locales: the shore, the soirée, and the slopes. What unified the tripartite approach were prints that crossed all categories. A Japanese floral, for instance, worked just as well on a taffeta evening coat as it did on a cutout maillot. A graphic Art Deco-inspired floral in subtle beige and black and an abstract animal print did triple duty in gowns, beachy cover-ups, and light puffer jackets. Cavalli also revived the romantic lace-inset cotton, now in chic black, that drew raves last Spring. But isn't that what Resort is about—giving them what they love?
