Wholesale reinvention is not what Christopher Bailey's Resort is about. The designer stuck to his perpetual mandate of recasting the house's bread-and-butter trench, done here in gold brocade and peplum-back jacket form. He also worked his now signature "elegant but eclectic" look, using myriad textures—ribbon-embroidered tulle, abstract jacquards, a terrific "rain splatter" print—sweetened with granny cardigans and toughened up by dark nickel chains and cuffs.
