Everyone had a front-row seat at Bottega Veneta's resort presentation. Designer Tomas Maier opted out of a show and instead went digital, sending editors a DVD of his highly focused and beautifully executed collection. African inspiration was evident in his use of wood bead embroidery, ethnic prints, and muted colors. For the urban adventurer, there were sporty separates in crisp silk taffeta.
